Using the Content editor

The Content element of your pages can be edited using a Rich Text Editor.

If you are a user of popular programs such as Microsoft Word or Open Office, you should be familiar with the formatting controls available. If you are unsure about a certain control, hover your mouse over the button and a tooltip with more information should appear.

Tooltips

The Jamba CMS gives you complete control of your site so the manner in which you maintain your content is entirely up to you. However you may find the following tips useful.

Quick edit

If you want to view the properties of a link, image, table, or pretty much any other content, simply right-click on the content and you should see your edit options in the contextual menu.

Subheading styles

To create subheads, select your text and choose Heading 2 from the Format menu.

Uploading images

When you upload an image you will notice that your site has a number of folders in place; an example is a folder called 'cms' that contains each image shown in these CMS help pages. You can upload images to any folder but it's worth creating descriptive folders for your images so you can manage your images more easily.

Styling images

Depending on the design of your site and the number of Templates available, you should be able to stylise the display of your uploaded images. To do this, click on an image in your Content and then choose an option from the style menu. This will apply the display settings to ensure that your site design remains consistent.

Links to other pages in your site

Creating a link is easy and self-explanatory when you click on the link button. However if you are creating a link to another page in your site, you should ensure that the link looks like this:

http://www.yoursite.com/page1

And not like this:

/page1

If you change the Name of page1 to 'page2', the CMS will update all links in your site, but only if you use the full address method.

Creating links

It's also good practice (but not required) to add a title to each link. The title is displayed when you hover your mouse over the link and this can be added by clicking on the Advanced tab of the Link screen.
