Publishing schedules and reminders

Each page you create must have at least two dates: a publish date and a review date. An optional archive date can also be added.

Publish date

When you create a new page the default publish date will be today’s date. This ensures that your page becomes immediately visible to visitors once you set the page status to ‘public’. If you enter a publication date some time in the future and set your page status to ‘public’ the page will automatically become visible on the date you enter.

Review date

Each page also requires a review date. This is the date by which you intend to next check the content of your page and helps to ensure that you don’t end up with pages that have become out of date. Each day the CMS will check for pages that are coming up for review and will send you an email to prompt you to check those pages.

Archive date

The archive date is optional. If you do not set an archive date your page will be visible until you manually change its status. If you do set an archive date your page will automatically be archived on the date of your choosing.

Scheduling dates

Automatic reminders

Once a page nears its review date an email is sent to you automatically as a reminder. The CMS sends one email per day containing a summary of all pages due for review within one week to help you ensure you eliminate out-of-date content.
