WAI accessibility compliance

Each website we develop is designed with usability and accessibility in mind and we help you ensure that you conform to WAI accessibility guidelines.

Structured markup

Pages are built in XHTML and CSS using table-less layouts to ensure that users with visual impairments can still access and use your website. Your pages use structured markup to ensure that even with stylesheets disabled, the information in your pages appears in the correct order. Each page has a link to skip navigation, accesskey information and a text version of your site.

Accesskeys

You can define accesskeys for any top-level page of your site to ensure your site is fully accessible and usable. A number of accesskeys are pre-configured in your template (such as '0' for accesskey and accessibility information, 't' for the text version, and '1' for your home page). You can find out more about the accesskeys and accessibility of this site by using the '0' accesskey now.

Font size control

Each page provides users with the ability to increase and decrease the font size at will. Even if your template renders text as images on the fly, the size of the text within these images is automatically adjusted according to the user's preference. Try clicking on the font size links in photo bar above to see this in action.

Text version

The font size control adjusts the font size while at the same time maintaining the graphic layout and appearance of your pages. For users who want or need to disable the design styles altogether, a link to a text version is available at the bottom of each of your pages. Click on the 'text version' link at the bottom if this page to try it out.
